Opting to field after winning the toss, Zimbabwe watched Pakistan pile up a commanding 354 for seven in 50 overs, built on a superb second-wicket stand between Sameer and Usman.

Sameer, the player of the tournament at the recent ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup, led the charge with a sparkling 142 off 106 balls, laced with 17 boundaries and four sixes. Usman matched him with an elegant 121 from 112 deliveries, striking 12 fours and two sixes. Together, the duo stitched a 199-run partnership that set the tone for a massive total.

After their departure, Huzaifa Ahsan kept the scoreboard ticking with a lively 54 off 53 balls, featuring three fours and two sixes, ensuring Pakistan crossed the 350-run mark.

For Zimbabwe, Kirby Madharamete claimed three wickets, while Panashe Mazai picked up two.

Unfortunately, rain arrived before the hosts could begin their chase, leaving the contest abandoned with no result.

Earlier in the tournament, Pakistan edged Afghanistan in a nail-biting one-wicket win. They are scheduled to face Afghanistan again in the fifth fixture on Friday, 2 January.
