South Africa secured a commanding 55-run victory over Pakistan in the first T20I held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday evening. The series now moves to Lahore, where the second and third T20Is will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium on Friday, 31 October, and Saturday, 1 November, respectively.

Set a target of 195, Pakistan were bowled out for 139 in 18.1 overs. Mohammad Nawaz, batting at number seven, contributed 36 runs and also claimed three wickets in a valiant but unsuccessful effort. Other notable contributions came from Saim Ayub (37 off 28 balls, 1 four, 4 sixes), Sahibzada Farhan (24 off 19, 4 fours), and Usman Khan (12 off 12, 1 four).
Corbin Bosch led South Africa’s bowling attack with an impressive 4 for 14 in four overs, while George Linde chipped in with three wickets using his left-arm spin.
Earlier, South Africa posted 194 for 9 after being asked to bat first in a match where Pakistan wore pink kits to support breast cancer awareness. Reeza Hendricks anchored the innings with a fluent 60 off 40 balls, striking five fours and a six. Linde added late momentum with a brisk 36 off 22 deliveries, including four fours and a six.
For Pakistan, Nawaz was the standout bowler with figures of 3 for 26, while Saim Ayub picked up two wickets.
